Reach to audience
We reached out to our target audience by using social media and other online websites. We used Twitter to promote the screening of the sequence as announcing it through social media would mean that more people would have access to it. Our target audience is an age-range that surrounds itself with social media and the internet, this means that we could attract a wider audience through the use of social media as people could share the information and follow it online. We also used Vimeo to release our title sequence. This again attracts a younger audience as many people prefer watching films and videos online through various different websites as it is more convenient.
We arranged a cinema preview aimed specifically at students just below the target audience age-range. We wanted to see if our film could appeal to a wider and younger audience (16-18). The screening was restricted to students only from the local college and took place at The Screen on The Green in Islington.
